Hike to Pagans' Church, a fairy tale view

Hidden away in the depths of the forest, the Pagans' Church is an impressive natural formation whose name evokes a mysterious past.

According to a local legend, during a siege of the Râșnov fortress, a few Turks took shelter here and built a small altar, hence the church's name. Once there, visitors can enjoy the splendid atmosphere and views of the Bucegi and Postăvaru mountains.

The experience of music and rhythm

This team-building activity uses percussion instruments to offer participants a unique, interactive and entertaining experience. It also helps to strengthen bonds and improve relationships between colleagues.

Your team will learn to create rhythms and melodies using body percussion and a variety of percussion instruments, such as drums, tambourines, shakers, djembes, claves and boomwhackers.

They will also have the opportunity to improvise and develop their motor coordination and creativity in an innovative and fun way.

Pușcălupi Single Shot Dry Gin is a locally produced gin, made in Râșnov by Ștefan Bărbulescu, in his father's former soda factory.

During a Pușcălupi gin tasting, you will:
 - meet Stefan, who will share his passion for gin with you.
 - discover the drink's versatility and hear the distillery's stories, including the two years of testing and experimentation that culminated in the 49th recipe — the one that ended Stefan's search for a gin better than anything he had tried before.
 - get to sample the neat (dry) product, as well as the famous Gin Tonic and Negroni cocktails.

Tasting of bee products and stories from the world of beekeepers

Felician is a passionate beekeeper who loves sharing stories from his life among the bees. He invites you to get to know the bees, learn about their activities in the hive at all stages of development and sample the healthy products of the hive.

 - You will have the opportunity to taste different types of honey, such as polyflora, acacia, rapeseed, manna and sunflower, as well as other hive products, including pollen, bee bread, propolis, syrups and other honey derivatives.

Farm visit and local cheese tasting

Lăptăreasa's recipes are authentic and made using natural cow's milk, carefully selected lactic cultures and the perfect pinch of salt. Everything is handmade with patience in their own farm.

What can you expect from a guided tour of the farm?
 - You will meet Mădălina and Octavian, learn their story, and find out how they started, what motivates them, and what a day on the farm looks like.
 - You will visit the cowshed, where you can feed, observe and pet the cows.
 - You will also enjoy tasting the dairy products made in the workshop, including cheese, yoghurt and sour cream, all of which are natural and uncompromisingly delicious.

Go up to Poiana Brasov and from there to Postavarul Massif. If you are looking for more altitude, you can try an ascent to the Bucegi Mountains or Piatra Craiului.

German Forteress

Cristian, Rasnov, Prejmer and Harman are German fortresses located not far from Casa Piedra. They are places worth visiting that show how the inhabitants lived and organized themselves 500 years ago. You can also visit the Transylvanian fortresses painted in our breakfast room.

Bear Sanctuary

bear SANCTUARY

Libearty is the largest European bear sanctuary project in Europe. More than 130 bears, that no longer have a place in the wild, have been rescued and live here, in an area of over 70 ha, set up as a natural area. The sanctury,  located near Zarnesti, 10 km from Casa Piedra, can be visited by appointment.

SINAIA AND THE PELES CASTLE

Sinaia, 40 km from Casa Piedra, is one of the most visited tourist resorts in Romania. Peles Castle was the summer residence of the kings of Romania. Today it is a museum with many art-historical collections and the castle can be visited. From Sinaia, you can take the cable car or walk up to 2500 meters on the Bucegi Mountains.

Old City of Sighisorara

OLD CITY OF SIGHISOARA

The medieval fortress of Sighisoara, located 100 km from Casa Piedra, dates back to the 13th century and is a UNESCO monument. The fortress is inhabited and can be visited all year round. A number of museums, located within the fortress, broaden the range of sights to visit.

Train station

Located 500 meters from Casa Piedra, the train station offers connections to Brasov and Zarnesti. The train timetable is available at the reception.

Airports

Air connections are from the airports of Brașov (10 km), Sibiu (130 km) and Bucharest Otopeni (160 km).
